Underwater
Diving Services are a well-established company with 30 years of civil diving
experience with a long and successful track record.
Based in Barrow-in- Furness, we have an excellent management team with a
wide range of experience from video camera inspections to heavy civil
construction. We have competed on the open market successfully for small and
major projects with a variety of construction companies, water authorities and
large corporations.

Jetty’s, hulls, piers, piles, power station intakes, outlets, dams,
revetments, harbour walls, buoys, moorings, pipelines, outfalls, structures etc.
We possess four surface demand dive units two of which are fully
contained in road towable units. Both can be supplied on H.P. or L.P.
systems.
Underwater Diving Services has to date had no accidents at any diving
location, although it is company policy to have a fully trained paramedic in
each of our dive teams.
As most of our divers are tradesmen and engineers we can offer a diving
team qualified to undertake most works to a high standard and without
supervision in fields such as, Concrete pours, Shuttering, Burning, Welding,
Electrical installation inspection.
Sub sea inspection is a skill that requires a high degree of accuracy and an ability to make out reports that the layman can understand. Underwater Diving Services produces the reports with the aid of computer diagrammatic drawings making the report easy to understand. Our personnel are qualified to C.S.W.I.P. 3.2U and Lloyd standards.
Underwater Diving Services have a high definition colour video camera to
help the clients with inspection work and surveys, the customer can instruct the
diver while watching the monitor, thereby seeing at first hand and with better
clarity the inspection while at the same time a video recording is being made.
We are able to offer both marine and land based ordinance clearance with
our in house highly trained R.N. E.O.D. engineers and specialised detection
equipment to work in any environment.
Our
personnel are H.S.E. divers trained in
First Aid and boat handling. All are practiced film extras as police
divers, sports divers and boatmen with relevant experience to provide a
realistic scene.
